Cold laser therapy is a form of infrared and red-light therapy in which a handheld device is placed over the area of complaint. Photons of light pass through the skin, therapeutically healing tissues along the way.
Cold laser is beneficial for decreasing inflammation, managing pain, regenerating nerves, and promoting skin/tissue healing. Treatments last 20-30 minutes, on average, depending on the size of the area being treated. Patients usually need 8-10 treatments, for best results.
