Laura Dominick

Colon Hydrotherapist

Laura Dominick | Brannick ClinicBorn in Chicago and raised on the city’s southwest side. Laura attended J.F. Kennedy High School, where in 1971, she heard about chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo from her friend Bob. He invited her to a meeting about a philosophy of life which, after 4 months of apprehension, Laura attended January 8, 1972 and has been practicing Nichiren Buddhism with the SGI (Soka Gakkai International, which means value creating society) ever since. It’s for peace, culture and education. This philosophy teaches compassion, respect for all life and values life as most precious.

She worked at her fathers’ printing company for 32-years. He was semi-retired and diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer—he passed away a few months later. Laura had digestive problems throughout her life. She started seeing a doctor of osteopathy, who had her see a nutritionist, who did live cell analysis in his office. She was taught healthier eating—such as eliminating or reducing dairy and other acidic foods. Also, in her case, eliminating gluten from her diet, which helped.

He sent her to a colon hydrotherapist. She had 7-sessions and within 3-weeks her digestive system was much improved. This prompted Laura to become a certified colon hydrotherapist through I-ACT, the International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy in March 2006 and has been helping people through colonics ever since. She is certified at the advanced level and is a National Board for Colon Hydrotherapy member.
